About Coach Wendel

In 2006 Wendel found a pink eviction notice on the door of his studio apartment in Atlanta, GA. With no more money, and out of options, he was forced to move into his 1998 Chevy Blazer. It was his last year in college and Wendel was faced with the option to return to his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland or to finish at Morehouse College as the first person in his family to accomplish this dream.

Wendel remembers his car breaking down in the winter of 2006 and having to sleep on a bus stop in the Buckhead area of the city. It was at the moment, as he waived passed the final bus passing through that cold night, that Wendel made the decision to Dare to Dream. Since then, he has become the Pastor of The Worship Center Church, entreprenuer, humanitarian, life coach, professor of religion at Clark Atlanta University and best selling author or 5 books!

He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, He was listed among the top 100 leaders in 2016 for the John Maxwell Leadership awards. In 2017, he was inducted into the MLK Jr Board of Preachers of Morehouse College. He has appeared on TBN on numerous occasions to share his story of homelessness to success.
